Free Write on Book

At a young age Clay was always confident and never gave up at boxing. This is surprising because Clay was the worst fighter to ever box as a child many claimed to said, but what separated him from everyone else was his mentality to keep pushing himself even if people did try to put him down from his dreams. He’s always dreamed big and put in the work to be where he was. He also always talked smack to every boxer in the gym yet it never really worked out because he would always lose his matches. Many boxers tried to put him down and convince him to quit, but Clay never let other peoples’ comments control or affect his goals that he was trying to achieve.
At nineteen Clay went into an intense boxing tournament to represent the USA in the boxing Olympics. He was successful and won first place gold in the boxing event. When Clay won this medal this was the beginning of Clay doing something great in order to get his name out in the world.
Casius Clay is very conceded. The book mainly focuses on his personality in the boxing ring and outside of the ring. It was basically the same all around. Many boxers weren’t as quick as Clay nor did they have the same confidence that was conceived within him. Many believe that it was his fighting style that put fear into his opponent when really it was his constant motor running mouth that did the intimidating for him. He’s defeated many boxers from not only using his training that he put all the time into, but being himself was a big part of his style.
Sportswriters were never irritated by Clay. Many say that he was a loud mouth pretty boy which he was because women were all over him. Plus how could you be irritated by someone that’s always talking? It’s not hard to get a story from him because he didn’t close himself from the media and from the crowd.
