Free Choice Blog about Kobe and Lebron and the playoffs
Well I think that the playoffs will come down to the Cavs and the Lakers because Kobe is returning to his old self from his finger injury. Without Kobe the Lakers will not win the playoffs because nobody can score like he can nor can anybody run the Lakers like Kobe can. Over the years the Lakers have improved all around, but I believe they’re going to have to improve their team even more because Kobe can’t hold the Lakers up for much longer due to his age (32). When Kobe retires unless the Lakers find another All-Star or become a much better team then they won’t be playoff material.
Now the Cavs are the best all around team because not only their starters can perform when they need them to, but the bench is always ready to jump in the game to increase the lead. The Cavs starters are always up and moving trying to get open and can create shots when its need. They also have post men that just dominate the paint at all times offensively and defensively. Their strongest weapon on the Cavs is Lebron James of coarse because everything there is to do that involves scoring or making a stop he’s athletic enough and confident enough to get the job done. If you ask someone what Lebron can’t do I’m sure they’ll have to take time to think about that question because he can do everything there is in basketball. Another great trait about the Cavs is the fact that if Lebron is having an off game or if the main game plan of the defense is to lock him up and double team him then he has many other players he can pass to that can take the responsibility of scoring.
For the Lakers Kobe doesn’t have many players that he can just pass to and expect a basket from. I think that’s why he shoots a lot not only because he’s self conscious about his stats, but he feels more comfortable doing the job himself to make sure it gets done. Phil Jackson wants Kobe to work with his team more, but if he’s averaging up to thirty-two points a game in the playoffs and is averaging up to forty-six percent from the field then he better just let Kobe take over the game. Financial wise for the NBA association having the Cavs and Lakers play each other in the finals will sell many tickets and send payments through roof just to see Kobe and Lebron face off.

Muhammed Ali Paper
Muhammed Ali had greaet courage and because of his courage he not only was the best of his time, but he was the youngest boxer to win an Olympic gold medal. He faced great dangers of retrieving that medal because at a young age a nineteen year old shouldn't be taking that many hits to the head. Actually no boxer should, but for Ali to face men that were in their late to early twenties that were experienced boxers and were in the ring to hurt Ali made it even more dangerous. Ali's saw before helped him achieve a gold medal in the Olympics. By Ali winning his gold medal it helped him get the reputation he needed in order to fight at a more professional level. Soon he would win the title he dreamed of winning.
On May 25, 1965 Muhammed Ali fouught the most feared man in boxing Sonny Liston. Sonny Liston was the heavyweight champion and was big and strong like an ox. Most boxers that fought the great Liston could't fight more than three rounds without being knocked out by Liston. Most people thought that since Liston was stronger that Ali and more expieriened that he was going to crush Ali like every other oppenent he fought, but Liston had another thing coming. The courage it takes to be able to fight not only somebody that was a heavyweight champion, but someone that was bigger and stronger than you would make someone step into the ring knees shaking from being too nervous. Yet Ali's trainers didn't see one sign nervous in him. One trainer said, "Ali seemed confident and ready to fight and thats what I saw before and during the fight". During the fight Ali's speed immediately frustrated Liston because Ali's reaction time was sharp to the point he was barely hit the first round. Of coarse this irritated Liston and eventually he would lose his patience with Ali, which would be the cause of his downfall. Ali's knockout left the audience stunned and jaw dropped. After this knockout the media was begging to know more about the great Ali as he was approaching his prime, but eventually he would give everything up.
On April 28, 1967 Muhammed Ali was drafted into the army. Ali wouldn't step up when his name was callen and just by not stepping up he knew he was jepordizing his career and his popularity by not stepping up to the army during his draft call. The average athlete wouldn't just give up the sport he plays because of the money he makes . Now if you're the best in the world at your sport the typical athlete would definately not even involve his personal beliefs with the fans he's attracting and the money he's making yet Ali was willing to give it all up during his prime to support the nation of islam. Ali giving up his fame at that time would be like Lebron giving up basketball right now to support his personal beliefs. Ali had a meeting about his situation with other famous athletes and he even said himself, "I'm going to have to face the consequences for my beliefs and im willing to face them to any extent". The amount of courage it takes to give up something your the best at, to go to jail for five years, his passport was taken away, and to pay a ten thousand dollar fine is just unbelievable. Nobody in the history of any sport would do what Ali has done and nobody will have the amount of confidence, maturity, or courage to just accept the sentence that he was sent because of standing up for his beliefs.
Later in Ali's career Ali continued fighting, but due to his long fighting career and spending a few years in jail he slowed down. After Ali was released from jail he wanted to prove to everyone that he still was the best and at this point he let his own courage get the best of him because from fighting all of his life, Ali took too many blows to the head which caused him to get Parkinson's disease. Ali had a great overall career and one of Ali's trainers qouted that, "if someone were to have Ali's traits then they would have the courage of a lion".

Cultural free chice one paragraph blog
I think this is a bad idea because Prokhorov is the second richest man in the world yet he buys the worst team in the league.
I also believe that Prokhorov knows what he’s doing because since he’s one of the richest men in the world then he knows what to invest his money to. A lot of people including myself question this decision because with his kind of money he could’ve bought a much better franchise especially considering the New Jersey Nets is the worst team in the NBA. If I had his money I would invest my money into where the biggest population or fan attraction is because the more fans there are the more money that’s brought in from the games. I would also try to invest to a team with a great superstar such as, Kobe or Lebron or Dwayne Wade.

SIMUN Blog
1. SIMUN was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had in school for an assignment. I enjoyed it greatly, but I didn’t like the fact that I had Kazakhstan as my country for this assignment because Kazakhstan isn’t involved in a lot in the world nor does it have a lot of controversy between other countries in the world. Countries such as, China and the United States had a lot of action in SIMUN because the United States wants to know everything that’s going on between every country, which makes them have an opinion and a action toward every conflict scenario that occurred in SIMUN. China was the other best country for SIMUN because about two or three of the scenarios were focused on China because they’re always doing something sneaky such as hacking or they’re in conflict with a group in their country that wants to leave China because of its religious beliefs.
2. I believe that I did great because during two of the scenarios I made statement on the speakers list about what was going to happen in the conflicts before we had the news flash put up to give us the extra information on the situation. I also made sure that if the scenario didn’t involve me I either state an opinion on the speakers list or I make a point of inquiry towards the speaker when they made a statement. I also did better because I had Dan Ketelhut in my group and since his country always supported my country and its opinions it made it easier to corporate when it came to a resolution in the conflict.
3. I mainly prepared for this assignment by looking up where Kazakhstan came from because until this assignment I’ve never heard of Kazakhstan in my lifetime. It turns out it was originally apart of the Soviet Union and once the USSR broke up it was part of Russia for a while, but eventually they split from Russia and became their own independent nation. I also prepared by looking at the timeline of the country and studied its recent conflicts with other countries so I could know its allies and foes when SIMUN began.
4. I will definitely try to get a better country, but at the same time I’m glad I got Kazakhstan because I learned about a new country that I’ve never heard about. I will definitely look up more information on my country and study that facts of its recent history so that I can bring it up in SIMUN next year.

US occupying Pakistan to secure nuclear materials
I’d feel perfectly comfortable with the US occupying Pakistan’s nuclear materials because everyone knows that Pakistan’s security around their nuclear materials is very weak and with the United State’s helping take over Pakistan’s nuclear power plant it lowers the risk of a terrorist attack that can lead to terrorists obtaining this nuclear material through Pakistan’s current weak security. I also believe that Pakistan should send its nuclear materials to the US like many other countries have been doing in the past and currently. With the terrorists attempting to take over the Pakistani a government makes it even more dangerous for not only the Pakistani a people, but the whole world because if any terrorist get a hold of any of the nuclear material that’s stored in Pakistan the whole world is in grave danger.
Terrorists reaching nuclear material will risk the lives of all mankind of the world, which is why Pakistan should be willing to take all the help they can get in order to keep their nuclear material out of any terrorists reach in the country, but why wouldn’t many countries volunteer to help Pakistan and their weak security around the nuclear material knowing that if terrorists reach the nuclear material that their country is in great risk also?
To my opinion all countries should come together to help stop these terrorist organizations because our separate wars that are going on between one another will only weaken our chances of catching these terrorists due to the countries having to worry about other countries other than the terrorists attacking them or attempting to. At the same time the world is too ignorant to actually work together to stop a force that might eventually become powerful enough to end the world and all of the existing mankind that lives on it because of the countries lacking ability to work together. The United States alone can’t take out the terrorists in Europe because it’s going to take more than one country to stop a dangerous group like this.

Free Write on Book
At a young age Clay was always confident and never gave up at boxing. This is surprising because Clay was the worst fighter to ever box as a child many claimed to said, but what separated him from everyone else was his mentality to keep pushing himself even if people did try to put him down from his dreams. He’s always dreamed big and put in the work to be where he was. He also always talked smack to every boxer in the gym yet it never really worked out because he would always lose his matches. Many boxers tried to put him down and convince him to quit, but Clay never let other peoples’ comments control or affect his goals that he was trying to achieve.
At nineteen Clay went into an intense boxing tournament to represent the USA in the boxing Olympics. He was successful and won first place gold in the boxing event. When Clay won this medal this was the beginning of Clay doing something great in order to get his name out in the world.
Casius Clay is very conceded. The book mainly focuses on his personality in the boxing ring and outside of the ring. It was basically the same all around. Many boxers weren’t as quick as Clay nor did they have the same confidence that was conceived within him. Many believe that it was his fighting style that put fear into his opponent when really it was his constant motor running mouth that did the intimidating for him. He’s defeated many boxers from not only using his training that he put all the time into, but being himself was a big part of his style.
Sportswriters were never irritated by Clay. Many say that he was a loud mouth pretty boy which he was because women were all over him. Plus how could you be irritated by someone that’s always talking? It’s not hard to get a story from him because he didn’t close himself from the media and from the crowd.
